Back in March, he shared a heartwarming photo of himself with Emily and her partner, Alex Baglieri, during her pregnancy.
The picture showed Chevy and Alex with their hands lovingly placed on Emily’s belly. “I can’t wait to be a Grandad!” Chevy wrote at the time, adding, “Congrats to my daughter @em_chases and @alex.baglieri ❤️.”

Emily shared, “We can’t wait to meet baby Bags this summer (but the cats can)!! ❤️,” alongside another photo of herself in a printed white shirt, showing off her growing belly. As the pregnancy progressed, Emily continued to update her followers.
In May, Emily shared a family photo featuring her father, Chevy, and her mother, Jayni. Chevy, dressed in a blue shirt and jeans, smiled beside Emily, who looked radiant in a floral dress.
Jayni stood by her side, wearing a body-hugging outfit. Below the trio, their two dogs posed calmly, though not directly at the camera. Emily captioned the photo simply with, “🥰🥰🥰.”
This warm family moment resonates with Emily’s sentiments from a March 2024 interview, where she expressed her deep admiration for her parents. She described her father, Chevy, as “the funniest and most generous and loving person” she knows.
In addition, she highlighted Chevy’s dedication to their family. “He has a huge heart and everything he does is for us, his daughters, and our mom—who he has been completely infatuated with since 1980. We truly couldn’t ask for a better dad,” Emily explained.

When speaking about Jayni, Emily said her mom’s passions played a significant role in her life. “Her passion for environmental education, advocacy, and climate activism, was the chief motivator for me to seek out a career in my own niche of the environmental sector—wildlife conservation,” she said.
Emily uses her passion and expertise as the Director of Board Engagement at the National Audubon Society in Goldens Bridge, New York. In this role, she helps keep board members involved in the organization’s mission to protect birds and their habitats.
Emily’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, as well as English, from Barnard College and Columbia University, where she studied from 2007 to 2014. Before that, she attended The Lawrenceville School from 2003 to 2007.
Her partner, Alex is the Assistant Director of West Point Youth Sports and Fitness. He manages youth sports programs, helping young people stay active and healthy.
He studied Liberal Arts and Sciences at Tompkins Cortland Community College in 2016 and at Dutchess Community College from 2013 to 2015. He graduated from Marlboro Central High School in 2011.
As Emily and Alex navigate their professional and private lives as a family of three, their close bond with Chevy Chase and Jayni remains unshakable.
